The Treasure Valley Family YMCA, in partnership with Saint Alphonsus Memory Center, is proud to present HOPE (Healthy Options for Prevention Excellence)—a free, monthly virtual education program focused on evidence-based strategies to improve brain health and reduce the risk of dementia.
“Not only do we have the highest percentage of people over 65 right now, but by 2030 (the U.S. Census Bureau) anticipates that people over 60 will hit almost 25% of our population,” Black told the Idaho Statesman in an interview. “That is staggering.”
The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America is hosting the Alzheimer’s and Caregiving Educational Conference from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 18 at the Springhill Suites Boise at 424 E. Parkcenter Blvd.
