Idaho Neuropsychology accepts self-pay patient referrals for:
**Workers' compensation insurance accepted with a valid referral from the patient's workers' compensation treating provider.
Late-stage dementia • ADHD evaluations or treatment as the primary or sole concern • Patients in acute crisis or actively suicidal • Out-of-state patients seeking telehealth-only care • Patients requiring long-term supportive psychotherapy • Pediatric patients • Patients currently on Medicaid • Medicare patients requiring a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement
The majority of our patients are high-achieving professionals who value fast access to care that fits their busy schedule. As such, we don’t accept insurance other than workers’ compensation insurance, allowing us to see patients without pre-authorization delays.
Your patient gets access to the specialist they need, faster. All diagnoses remain with their medical team and out of their insurance files, allowing for greater privacy.

Patients typically see our providers much sooner than they can elsewhere, and see results in weeks to months, not years. Idaho Neuropsychology provides full operational follow-through, so your team doesn’t have to manage logistics.
Traumatic events, such as a car accident or workplace injury, often leave a patient with multiple medical needs: a neuropsychological question about cognitive changes, a trauma response to the event, and pain that hasn't resolved through medical treatment alone. Treating a single area without addressing the others leaves a patient with incomplete care. While there are other practices in the Treasure Valley that evaluate and treat patients across all three areas, allowing providers to consult with one another on shared and complex cases, our practice is specifically designed for patient speed of access to high-quality, expert care.
For patients with PTSD, chronic pain, or trauma-related presentations, our treatment programs are recovery-oriented, with most patients seeing meaningful improvement in 12-20 sessions.
Your patients’ health and quality of life are of utmost importance. When you refer them to us, we take your trust seriously. Our referral process is as follows:
You send the referral via secure fax or encrypted email. Include the reason for referral, relevant records, and self-pay or workers’ compensation status, if known. Should we not be able to accept the referral, we will contact your office.
Our team contacts your patient in approximately two business days—introducing the practice, answering initial questions, and scheduling a complimentary consultation call with the appropriate provider. We share relevant information via follow-up emails to ensure they fully understand who we are and why you referred them to Idaho Neuropsychology.
Our provider speaks with your patient by phone in the schedule alignment call to better understand their medical situation. If both parties agree that the recommended service is appropriate, it’s scheduled.
The evaluation and/or treatment is completed with care and clinical rigor. Every service is grounded in evidence-based practices and conducted at a pace that respects the patient.
You receive documentation upon treatment or evaluation completion. Findings are written to support your ongoing care of the patient—with clear, actionable recommendations tied to real-world function, not just test scores.

Idaho Neuropsychology is a self-pay practice, by design. Our self-pay services allow patients direct, rapid access to expert clinicians, quicker appointments, and evaluations and treatments focused fully on their medical needs, not insurance-driven limitations. Note: We do accept workers’ compensation insurance with a valid referral from the patient’s workers’ compensation treating provider.
Neuropsychological evaluation reports are typically completed within one week of feedback.
