Workers' Compensation

Overview for referring providers, adjustors, and insurers

When an injured worker presents with cognitive, mood, or trauma‑related symptoms, you need timely, objective data and a treatment plan that moves the claim forward—not open‑ended care.

Idaho Neuropsychology (INP) provides specialized workers’ compensation neuropsychological and psychological services focused on fast access, clear communication, and measurable outcomes, including return‑to‑work and symptom change.

To get started, a treating provider must fax a referral to (208) 789-0916 or e-mail referral@IdahoNeuropsychology.com

Rapid access, clear coordination

When there is a workplace injury or accident, Idaho Neuropsychology helps workers get back to pre‑injury baseline as efficiently and safely as possible.

  • INP strives to respond to all referrals within 48 hours.
  • Pending adjustor authorization and ability to reach the worker, intakes are typically scheduled within two weeks.
  • Notes (intakes and subsequent sessions) are sent to adjustors, nurse case managers, and referring providers once per week, so up-to-date documentation is available quickly.
  • The treating provider frequently holds direct calls with adjustors, NCMs, and referring providers, often with more than one party on the line, to align on progress and next steps.

Neuropsychology and Psychology for workplace injuries

A referring workers’ compensation physician may request:

  • Documenting cognitive strengths and weaknesses

  • Determine readiness for returning to work

  • Identifying return to work accommodations

Care is tailored to the specific injury, symptoms, job demands, and recovery timeline, with a focus on return‑to‑work and functional outcomes.
